Pozitive Technologies 2023 - IT Festival in Poznań behind us

Poznań is a city of business and technology that strives to set trends on the Polish innovation map. More and more companies are investing there, looking for IT professionals and development opportunities. The authorities support projects that help this. An example is the Pozitive Technologies Conference, which was held on 23 November for the fifth time. Just like last year, the hybrid formula worked perfectly this time - a conference with seven thematic tracks and a main stage online and a stationary part in the afternoon at the eNstudios in Poznań.

Pozitive

The Pozitive Technologies conference is an initiative of the City of Poznan and partner companies. As in previous years, more than 1,200 people registered for the online conference! It was accompanied by an afternoon event, which took place on the same day in the evening in the capital of Wielkopolska. The IT Festival in Poznań attracted more than 300 people.

Pozitive Technologies for the fifth time.

Pozitive Technologies is not just a conference - it is first and foremost a community and a place to draw inspiration, gain valuable knowledge and contacts for all those who appreciate the value of IT solutions: experienced developers, IT experts, testers, devops engineers, data analysts, as well as IT managers and executives. The demands are increasing year on year. This year, the organiser has prepared as many as 7 thematic tracks:

AI / DATA (BY GSK)

ARCHITECTURE (BY GLS)

ANALYTICS / BIG DATA (BY PCSS)

DEVOPS

SECURITY

AGILE

SCRUM

+ MAIN SCENE

The longest, 273 min, was the average time spent on the AI/Data track. In second place was SCRUM - 232 min. When organising such events, the most important thing is to listen to the audience and respond to their needs. Participants of previous editions already know what to expect, so the level should only get higher. This was also the case this time, as evidenced by the results. Almost 90% of the participants in this edition want to attend the event next year. Similarly, most like the hybrid (online + offline) event formula.

More than 70 speakers - both Polish and foreign (from the USA, Ireland, the UK to Japan or Australia) shared their knowledge and experience with the audience. The best rated speakers were:

1. Mieczyslaw Suska (Capgemini)

2nd GREEN IT debate: Michał Mikucki (Capgemini) / Wojciech Stramski (Beyond) / Krzysztof Kurowski (PSNC)

3. Fireside chat: John Paul Farmer (CTO New York) / Tomasz Orzechowski (Pozitive Technologies)

4. AI debate: Wojciech Węcel (SummIT) / Ireneusz Gawlik (Allegro) / Julie Huxley Jones (GSK) / Krzysztof Jassem (Adam Mickiewicz University)

5. Vishal Sharma / (Amazon Alexa)

A high-level conference

Choosing the right experts is a difficult task. However, the Programme Board made sure that the level was high and that even the most demanding audience found something for themselves. Working with more than 70 speakers is certainly no small challenge, but it was certainly worth it.

During the Pozitive Technologies conference, you could see experts such as:

POZitive Afterparty for the second time in Poznań

This year again, the Conference was accompanied by a unique POZitive Afterparty, where the whole industry had the opportunity to meet live in Poznań. But it wasn't just a party. During the meeting, you could listen to many substantive speeches, debates, workshops and talks that allowed you to look at IT from an even different perspective.

What did the organisers prepare?

A space with VR games, gaming competitions and much more.

And all this at eN Studios, called Hollywood for gaming, a unique place that inspires and energises.

And how does the after-party stationary rate the participants? Around 90% of them intend to attend the event next year. This shows that such initiatives are worth supporting and organising. It also proves that nothing can replace face-to-face contact and the relationships thus established.

23 November was a very intensive day, which provided a lot of emotions, knowledge, but also new contacts. It allowed people from the IT industry to come together in one place and facilitate the exchange of experiences. We wish you and ourselves as many such initiatives as possible!
